This P-47 was taken by Johnny R. Enlow" from the RIGHT waist gun position window of Hellsbells.....the P-47 Fighter was sent from England to observe the B-17's battle damage....at that moment the only two engines operating were the left two and there was not enough power to make it over the cliff's so they 'ditched' one of three B-17's called HELL"S BELLES and all made it back safely.
